Two new events come to DGVR in 2019
ELKINS, W.Va. — As the 2019 train season ramps up in April 2019, there are two new venues to keep an eye on this year. First, the Alpine School of Virtue & Magic will take place in Elkins April 20 onboard the Mystic Flyer. This multi-venue attraction begins at the Elkins Depot with an enchanted adventure in search of your own inner magic. Onboard extravagances include mini-classes from Eccentric Scholars of the Alpine Academy of Virtue and Magic, time travel, and other Arcane Arts. A local brewery tour will be held after our train returns to the Elkins Depot for those interested in purchasing additional Big Timber products. Brewery tours are an additional $10.
“We’re excited to bring these new venues to Elkins in 2019. Our passengers are always looking for unique experiences and this will enhance our overall special event train business,” says Chase Gunnoe, marketing and business development manager for the railroad. “We’re thankful for our partners, the Old Brick Playhouse for collaborating on the Alpine School of Virtue & Magic and Big Timber Brewing for their partnership in presenting West Virginia’s first craft beer train with us. Together, these Elkins-based companies continue driving new audiences to Randolph County.”
